Meet The 2023 Zeekr 009, The Electric Minivan With Range

It’s the Geely-owned brand’s second production vehicle and the first to feature CATL’s Qilin battery tech in a 140-kWh pack.

Premium EV brand Zeekr has just revealed its second production model in China, in the Zeekr 009, a vehicle that promises 510 miles of range and a tonne of space within.

The blocky shape of the minivan is unique to say the least, complete with features such as the large illuminated metal grille on the front, large sliding doors, and the full-width LED taillights.

Moreover, Zeekr claims the 009 has a drag coefficient of 0.27, thanks in part to what the EV brand calls “the largest aerodynamic windscreen in the segment.”

Inside, the 009 is as luxurious as it is spacious, featuring six individual seats — all fitted with massaging functionality and wrapped in full-grain leather.

Those sitting in the second row get a console featuring a variety of seat functions and adjustments, not to mention a ceiling-mounted 15.6-inch screen.

This screen is slightly bigger than the 15.4-inch touchscreen display located on the dashboard.

According to parent-company Geely, the EV was styled at Zeekr’s design centre in Gothenburg, Sweden, with former Audi designer Stefan Sielaff leading the team.

Range-wise, the 009 beats the original Zeekr 001 in impressive fashion. The long-range battery option for the vehicle (140 kWh) is capable of travelling 510 miles on a single charge.

The 009 features a dual-motor AWS powertrain that delivers 400 kilowatts and 686 Newton-meters of torque capable of going 0-100 km/h in less than 5 seconds (4.5 seconds, to be specific).

Prices for the 009 start from 499,000 yuan (roughly £60,580) for the base version and 588,000 yuan (roughly £71,440) for its range-superior equivalent.

Customers in China can place reservations today with deliveries expected to start in the new year.
