Unveiling events used to be a regular occurrence at Tesla, that was until Covid hit and the American automaker turned to its Battery Days and AI Days to sell the brand on a greater level.

CEO Elon Musk also said that Tesla wouldn’t unveil new vehicles for a while as it focuses on ramping up production of its existing vehicle programs.

All that said, we have some good news relating to not just events, but also, Tesla’s highly-anticipated electric Semi that has been in development for what feels like an eternity at this point.

While the automaker hasn’t officially announced the event, Martin Viecha, Tesla’s head of investor relations, confirmed it by announcing that Tesla will hold a random drawing for retail shareholders to join:

The Tesla Shareholder Platform referenced in these Tweets was launched earlier in the summer to offer new features to its retail shareholders, for anyone not in the loop.

But yes, the Tweet clearly mentions the Tesla Semi by name, indicating that something big is coming, most likely in the form of a classic Tesla delivery event where keys are given to customers.

If this is the case, then expect a presentation about the vehicle program — a program that we’ve yet to see on the Tesla Semi. Might that change in the next few weeks?

We hope so, given how little we know about the vehicle, other than it has an estimated range between 300 and 500 miles.

What do you think this event will entail, and will you be tuning in when it’s live? We will be, that’s for sure given how much potential the Tesla Semi has. Plus, it’s been five years since the initial unveiling…
