Samsara Has Partnered With EVgo To Accelerate Its Electric Future
The partnership with public EV charging network EVgo will give the internet of things (IoT) solutions company a boost to its electrification efforts for customers.
Samsara, a known provider of internet of things (IoT) solutions, has just announced an exciting new partnership with EVgo, the EV charging network.
Furthermore, EVgo will serve as Samsara‘s first EV partner in what it calls its ‘Experts Marketplace,’ a network of certified implementation companies/experts operating in the space.
For those not in the loop, Samsara are a data-driven company with over 20,000 customers — customers that spread far and wide across countless industries.
Since 2018, Samsara customers have driven more than 160 million cumulative hybrid/electric miles, a number that is constantly increasing.
You’ve probably already guessed it, but Samsara does work with several companies occupying the transport industry, especially those dealing in commercial fleets.
The main goal of this announced partnership with EVgo is to help implement an easing transition to electric vehicles by providing helpful solutions (Samsara’s speciality).
EVgo, the owner of the largest public charging network in the US powered by renewable energy, will give Samsara access to over 1,900+ chargers across 34 states.
The charging company also provides a number of unique options to help light, medium, and heavy-duty fleets turn to EVs.
In other words, it’s a match made in EV heaven and could bode well for the companies tied to Samsara.
“The transportation market is electrifying at a rapid pace. Electric vehicles provide an incredible opportunity for commercial fleets when it comes to making a sustainable impact,” said Jonathan Levy, chief commercial officer at EVgo.
“Samsara serves more than 20,000 customers across industries that are ripe for electrification, and we’re excited to partner with them to further accelerate the adoption of EVs.”
What do you make of this announced partnership with EVgo? Could this drive more business to Samsara? We think so, but we want your take.
