Rad Power Launches Rad New E Trike
Rad Power Bikes has just revealed its latest model, and it’s an electric tricycle capable of performing a variety of tasks that you just can’t do on two wheels.

Sometimes, hauling gear on the back of an electric bike is more trouble than what it’s worth, which is why many have turned to e trikes to take care of business.
This is more than likely one of the reasons behind Rad Power Bikes’ decision to come out with the RadTrike, a nifty addition to its already stellar lineup of e bikes.
Priced at $2,499, the RadTrike might not sound very appealing when compared to other options in the market, but you more than get your money’s worth given what we know. It’s designed with stability in mind — stability and convenience given its folding capabilities.
Speed-wise, the RadTrike is said to move between 8-14 mph. This might not seem as nimble as, say, most electric bikes, but this is ideal for a trike. Think about it, travelling at high speed and turning on one of these things is bound to cause some sort of accident.
Some other unique parts on the RadTrike are a reverse feature, a 750W front wheel motor, a parking brake, as well as a coaster brake in the rear, all fantastic additions.
Riders will get roughly 20-35 miles of range between charges, which should be more than enough to get you where you need to go and back again with miles to spare! Its payload capacity is another highlight (up to 415 pounds), meaning it can carry large riders and plenty of cargo!
According to Mike Radenbaugh, founder and chairman of Rad Power Bikes, this model has been in the works for quite some time:
“The journey to the RadTrike began with one of my first customers who couldn’t ride a traditional bike due to health issues. Since that early interaction, I’ve had countless conversations with customers looking to Rad for more solutions,” he says.
“Fast forward to now, we’ve honed our expertise to create a high-value, purpose-built three-wheel option that will popularise another micromobility category. The RadTrike is the next big acceleration in our mission to make transportation energy efficient, enjoyable, and accessible to all.”
If you’re interested in owning this e trike, know that you won’t have to wait long as orders are already open, with shipping expected to begin around mid-January.
Test rides are possible across multiple Rad locations, such as Seattle, Brooklyn, Huntington Beach, Salt Lake City, and soon in St. Petersburg (US only).

‘Rad’ is one of the only words we can use to describe this superb electric trike. Will you be ordering one? We’re certainly tempted.
