Production-Ready Pininfarina Battista Set For World Debut

Pioneering is one of the only ways to describe Automobili Pininfarina’s pure-electric Battista hyper GT, an EV set to make its grand debut in the US ahead of an official launch.

Showcasing 90+ Years Of History

Automobili Pininfarina’s Battista could be big based on what we already know, and now you can see for yourself as it looks to make a big impression in the US for Monterey Car Week.

The first production-spec example will navigate Californian roads, showcasing its power in full swing.

“The premiere of the first production-specification Battista in the US marks the beginning of another significant chapter in the Automobili Pininfarina story. We are excited to showcase the beautiful and sustainable future of luxury to our clients, while celebrating more than 90 years of Pininfarina design heritage during Monterey Car Week. We look forward to our clients in the US experiencing the immense dynamic performance and personalised luxury of Battista for the first time.”
— Per Svantesson, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina

Automobili Pininfarina Chief Design Officer, Luca Borgogno, will join the panel of judges at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, celebrating glorious Pininfarina designs of the past.

The German automaker will be celebrating more than 90 years of design excellence at this event, complete with the appearance of iconic Pininfarina-designed vehicles of yesteryear.

The Battista Anniversario Will Also Feature

Those in attendance will also get to feast their eyes on the exclusive Batista Anniversario, a tribute to the life and work of Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina.

Only five of these vehicles have been made worldwide, thus adding to the prestigious nature of the Battista Anniversario — a ride that is clearly paying homage to the past while promoting the future.

The Anniversario is noticeably different from the standard Battista (from what we can tell). It sports a bi-colour tinted Furiosa Pack consisting of a front splitter, side blades, and rear diffuser.

A Powerful, Performance-Built Vehicle

Made in Italy but will infiltrate other markets overseas without a doubt, Automobili Pininfarina’s Battista is said to be “the most powerful car ever designed.”

And who could deny the German automaker when this vehicle can travel faster than most F1 cars in its 0-100 km/h (0-60mph) sub-two second sprint. This vehicle has 1,900 hp and 2,300 Nm of torque on tap — not to mention it is a pure eco-friendly EV.

Power comes live and direct from Battista’s 120 kWh battery, which works alongside four electric motors (one in each wheel). Range-wise, drivers will get around 310 miles out of each charge before needing some juice.

It’s of note that Automobili Pininfarina will build no more than 150 of the Battista at the Pininfarina SpA atelier in Cambiano, Italy.

In other words, you might want to snap one of these EVs up while you can (if you can afford it). Each are priced from $2.2 million and will be available from select retailers across the States.

What do you make of the Battista from Automobili Pininfarina? Will it stand tall over other high-performance EVs? Give us your thoughts via social media.
