The Discover Miami International Boat Show never fails to drum up excitement in the electric boating space. This year, the field is looking pretty strong, with brands like Ingenity coming out of the gate swinging.

That’s right, Ingenity, the electric boat brand known for its sporty GS22E boat — an all-electric boat that was just awarded boat Boat of the Year by Boating Magazine — is back, this time with something a lot more relaxed.

The 23E is Ingenity’s new green vessel, one that feature’s the boat maker’s patent pending modular ‘skateboard’ design.

Ingenity were the first to speak on day one of the Miami Boat Show, kicking it off in style. Several members of the team spoke, detailing the various features and design elements found on the 23E to a crowded room of attendees.

Here’s a quick rundown of the Ingenity 23E’s specs:

  • Length Overall: 23’/7.01m
  • Cruise Speed: 20mph
  • Capacity: 11 People
  • Use Time: Up to 14 Hours
  • Battery Capacity: 63kWh or 126kWh

Other features here include a sound system from JL Audio, rear seats, and a flat transom. Again, this is an electric boat made for luxury, with its features reflecting that go-with-the-flow lifestyle.

Sean Marrero, the President of Ingenity, said the following:

“I am incredibly proud of what our team has done with the 23E. At Ingenity, we enable our customers to do what they love in ways that better reflect their values. With the 23E, we can now take the knowledge we have about electric boating and apply it to the larger group of people who prefer being on the water instead of in the water.”

We should also mention that this boat will remain constantly connected to the internet, allowing owners to use the Ingenity Connect App wherever, and not have to worry about a choppy signal.

Which do you like better? The 23E or the GS22E? And do you think the 23E has the capacity to become an award-winning e boat like its predecessor? Leave us a comment below.
