Multiple brands operate in the luxury electric boat market, crafting everything from yachts to speed boats. ALVA Yachts is one of them, a German brand that has just revealed its latest vessel.

Introducing the OCEAN ECO 60 Coupé, a 60-foot electric catamaran with solar panels and a range of additional features. These panels can reach an 18kW peak, said to be the best in class compared to the competition.

Here’s a quick rundown of its specs:

Founded in 2020 by Mathias May and Holger Henn, ALVA Yachts is an evolution of the PICA yachts brand — a brand known for launching more than forty 20-30 ft sailing and electric powerboats.

Zero emission boats, like sustainable aircraft, are playing catch-up to land-based electric transport. It’s a challenge that ALVA Yachts welcomes with open arms, as it states on the website:

“Elements, materials, manufacturing, transportation and the usage of yachts are all areas that need improvement. We do not have all the answers today, but it is our mission to tackle these issues and consequently improve the way we will live tomorrow.”

You can order the OCEAN ECO 60 Coupé now, with production planned for later in the year. The yacht will join multiple boats currently in the ALVA lineup.
